Don’t be afraid to decorate with your favorite color. I am personally obsessed with Turquoise or a Soft Minty Green, but I make sure I use lots of neutrals. Be bold. Take a risk. Paint a favorite piece of furniture a different color. This secretary was a Craigs List find- very dark wood. I mixed my own custom color and painted away. It went from drab to fab.
Switch your furniture around into different rooms. Every year this room looks different- usually after we take down the Christmas tree I like to mix things up. It really keeps a space feeling fresh without having to spend a dime!

My client asked me to help refresh their space when this young family moved into their parents home. The bones are good but it needed to reflect this young family presently residing there.
The following pictures are of our Lake House- we remodeled a little over a year ago. I wanted a place where we could retreat to. One that was cozy, comfortable and easy to maintain.

Main Bathroom with Farm House Tiles

We incorporated some doors from the former ‘Camp’. We reused the front door for the door of the full bathroom. In our daughter’s room, for her closet door – we used a discarded door that was in the attic. We married the two with barn door hardware. Our family has owned this property since 1930…so rich in history and wonderful family memories. Now we are adding to the legacy of Camp DeGraff.

South Shore Residence

This Kitchen has been painted- it was a 90’s Pinkish pickled Maple. When we moved in- we hired professional cabinet painters to come in and give these brand-new Cabinets a fresh look. We also replaced the granite countertops with honed, Calcutta Manhattan Marble and installed Italian handmade subway tiles.
