Maybe because 3 out of the 4 people in my family growing up was born in December I’m all about Christmas! In my unfinished basement there’s a large section dedicated to this amazing Holiday! What a time to Celebrate all things about Jesus’ amazing birth and being with family/friends.
At the end of last year, it dawned on me that our annual tradition of purchasing a real Christmas tree maybe doing more harm than good. Every Christmas my Hubby would have a sinus infection…hmm maybe he’s allergic? Sooo this year we invested in an artificial, snow flocked Christmas tree. I must say, its nice not to have to water it everyday or be concerned if its too dry, but I do miss the subtle pine scent in the air. Below you’ll find a few pics of the new tree. It was a bit of challenge, to decorate- so I decided to switch it up by not using the traditional garland around the tree. This year I used burlap ribbon, cascading down the tree and used a large bow on top. I’m enjoying how it turned out. Also I’m including some gift ideas in this post, along with a simple, yet elegant ornament craft. Let me know what you think and how you are inspired!
Merry Christmas!
